When a family or a group travels together, the first question is whether to take one big vehicle or two smaller ones. Here is how a Tempo Traveller and an SUV compare.
Group size
- Up to 4 people: a sedan is usually enough.
- 5 to 7 people: an SUV or MUV fits well.
- 8 or more: a Tempo Traveller keeps everyone in one vehicle.
- Very large groups: two or more vehicles may work better. Tell us the numbers and we will suggest a mix.
Luggage
Luggage often decides it. An SUV with every seat taken has little room left for bags. A Tempo Traveller usually has more space for bags and for people to move around.
Long drives
On a long drive, extra room matters. A Tempo Traveller lets a bigger group sit comfortably. An SUV suits a smaller family that wants a comfortable ride in something easier to handle.
Weddings and events
With one vehicle, everyone leaves and arrives together. If you have elders, children and a lot of luggage, ask us which mix of vehicles works best.
Roads and parking
A smaller vehicle is easier in narrow lanes, busy markets and hill towns. A larger one feels more relaxed on the highway. Tell us where you are going and we will say which suits it.
Cost
A bigger vehicle costs more in total. When it is full, though, the cost per person can be lower than hiring several cars. Ask for a rate for both options and compare.
